Keepers of the Faith

This Keepers chapter is not an "outreach." It is a safe haven for homeschooled children of conservative Christian parents to thrive and grow. If that description doesn't fit you, there are other groups that are probably a better fit. If you are conservative and Christian, we'd love to have you join us.

Because we believe in learning together as families, we welcome all ages. All parents participate. The intent is for us to learn as families; this is impossible when parents drop their children off. The parent doing the teaching is responsible for making any necessary arrangements and providing any needed materials. This lets each of us choose projects that fit our budgets, our skills, and the effort we are able to put into it. Every family is required to take a turn leading.. Club meetings are not a competition between families. God has blessed each of us as He sees fit . For some, that is abundant children; for others, talents and skills; for others, materially, or with a gentle spirit, or gift for teaching, etc., etc. We can rejoice in each other's blessings without negatively comparing them to our own. As different parts of the body of Christ, we are each unique and necessary .

Where are the club meetings held? We meet on Tuesdays in Victor for Latin and Phonics. Right now, we are meeting "occasionally" for other activities.

How much does it cost? Nada. Nothing. Zilch. The cost comes in when you're hosting, and then it's up to you. We're not currently charging for Phonics and Latin (except for the book).

Phonics: pre-readers and beginning readers
Latin: Standard class - ages 12+ (slower paced, more thorough in class, less homework)
Latin: Accelerated class - ages 14+ or by instructor permission (better for students with foreign language background or language aptitude)
